Toyota Tops Material Handling Magazine Survey

Toyota has topped an independent survey of Australian forklift operators, finishing first in every category relating to "brand".

MHD Supply Chain Solutions (MHD) magazine and Transport and Logistics News (www.TandLnews.com.au) conducted the online survey during February and March.

The survey found Toyota was clearly the preferred brand when buyers were planning to purchase, lease or rent forklifts.

Toyota was not just the preferred first choice: it was also the clear second and third choice among those surveyed.

Toyota also achieved impressive survey results on respondents' opinion of it, with the highest score of 59.7 per cent rating it "very favourable".

Toyota forklifts are sold and serviced nationally by Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA).

TMHA offers a one-stop solution for material handling needs, with the combined product ranges of Toyota industrial equipment, BT Lift Truck and Raymond.

TMHA executive vice president and COO Steve Takacs said the survey results are further proof of Toyota's commitment to quality in all areas of its material handling business.

"Time after time, when you ask forklift owners and operators what they like about Toyota, they talk about the quality, durability and reliability of the forklifts," he said.

"This endorsement of Toyota's quality goes back to the massive investment the corporation makes in forklift design and development.

"From a local point of view, the fact that two in three survey respondents rate us 'very favourably' is a great accolade for the Toyota branch network and its product offerings."
