One of Australia's leading forklift training providers has looked to Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) to equip its new facility at Somerton in Melbourne's north with a range of load-shifting equipment.
TAFT (Truck & Forklift Training) selected THMA to supply four 1.8-tonne payload Toyota forklifts, two BT walkie stackers and a Raymond order picker.
THMA was able to supply all seven battery-electric units within TAFT'S required timeframes while meeting pricing and site servicing requirements.
TMHA offers a one-stop shop solution for material handling needs, with a comprehensive range of forklifts and warehouse equipment.
TAFT sales and marketing manager Simon Leach said they have received positive feedback from students and clients alike since introducing Toyota forklifts into the fleet.
"Our partnership with Toyota Material Handling now gives our clients and operators a wider choice of equipment to train on, ensuring the operators train on equipment that they will very likely be using in the workplace on a daily basis."
The seven forklifts are on long-term rental from Toyota Material Handling's Victorian branch.
TAFT commenced operations in 2011 and is now one of Australia's largest forklift training providers. In 2013 TAFT trained over 4000 students nationally through its Victorian and Queensland training centres. TAFT also provides national workplace training for its clients.
It has developed a team of industry experts, accredited to deliver many government funded programs nationally, supported by proven training delivery, tools and strategies.
