Toyota Confirms New Reach Stacker For Australia

Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) has announced the introduction of its new Toyota SWE120XR walkie reach stacker with retractable mast that combines the compact size of a stacker with the flexibility of a reach truck.

"Featuring a tight turning radius, power steering as standard and retractable mast, it is a flexible space-saving solution that is ideal for use in narrow aisles and cold storage applications," said TMHA national sales and product manager, Jim Lobow.

Key features of the Toyota SWE120XR walkie reach stacker include 180-degree power steering, permanently mounted AC drive motor, mast position sensor, controlled reach speeds, secure PIN code access and soft start/stop function.

The mast tilt range of 1.2 degrees forwards and 1.8 degrees backwards makes it easier to manoeuvre loads in narrow aisles and access loads in hard-to-reach racking. The Sensi-lift function enables precise load handling and reduces the risk of goods being damaged. All driver controls are located on the tiller arm to enable smooth and accurate control.

Toyota's Optimised Truck Performance (OTP) technology controls acceleration, braking and steering depending on speed while the Click-2-Creep function enables the driver to operate the walkie stacker with the arm in an upright position at very low speeds, improving driveability in confined areas.

The Toyota SWE120XR walkie reach stacker can handle a mix of pallet types up to 4.8 metres, with the option of fitting a sideshift or fork positioner.

Toyota's I_Site forklift fleet management and monitoring system is also optionally available.

Standard safety features include emergency stop switch, tiller arm safety button, slope control, access control and automatic switch off.

The Toyota SWE120XR walkie reach stacker will be available from TMHA branches around the country from June 2017.
