  • Hydrogen fuel cell forklifts combine the sustainability of an electric forklift with the practicality of an internal combustion engine forklift.
  • Hydrogen Fuel Cell forklift delivers zero operating emissions with fast refuelling and the versatility of the latest control technology to the comfort and operability delivered by Toyota's ergonomically designed operator compartment.
  • Fuel cells generate electricity when hydrogen meets oxygen in the electrolysis process, driving the electric motor and generating water as a waste product. Hydrogen made with renewable energy is completely carbon-free. When turning it into electricity, the only emission is distilled water.
  • Electrical energy is produced in the Fuel Cell stacks and is transmitted to the motor via a convertor powering the forklift's movement, lift and tilt systems.
  • High water resistance rating of IPX4 means the 8FBE Hydrogen Fuel Cell can work outside as well as inside.
  • Small lithium-ion battery to temporarily store surplus energy.
  • The Toyota 1.8T 8FBE Hydrogen Fuel Cell Forklift is available via rental only.

  • A single hydrogen fill can operate for up to 8 hours, contributing to efficient work without waste.

  • Toyota exclusive "System Of Active Stability" SAS monitors key forklift operations, detecting and counteracting instability to help reduce the risk of tip-overs 
  • Active Mast Function Controller senses and reacts to instability by limiting mast angle and speed according to the load's height and weight.
  • Active Steering Synchroniser ensure that the angle of the steering wheel corresponds to the angle of the rear steered wheels.
  • Operator Presence Sensing interrupts power and load handling operations if the operator is not in the normal operating position.
  • Automatic Turn Speed control - controls the turn speed according to the lift height, load weight and turning radius. This contributes to enhanced travel stability.
  • Emergency Power Shut-down Button switches off all power sources if this button is pressed.
